PARK CITY, Utah (April 24) - Janine Alfano has been named as vice president of fundraising for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, the fundraising arm of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding. President and CEO Bill Marolt cited Alfano's 11 years of experience with the Foundation in making the announcement.

PARK CITY, Utah (April 12) -- Trisha Worthington, vice president of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation since 1995, is leaving to head a new local community foundation. Worthington is credited with building the strongest private fundraising programs of any Olympic sport in her 12 years working with the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding.

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 5) - Dick Goetzman, a U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association president and trustee for nearly four decades and longtime trustee of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation, has died. He was 78 when he died Tuesday at his home following a series of recent health and medical problems, USSA President and CEO Bill Marolt said.

(Feb. 14) - Alpine ski racer Julia Mancuso (Olympic Valley, CA), who strung together a U.S.-record five consecutive World Cup top-3s, and Jeret "Speedy" Peterson (Boise, ID), who set two aerials records in winning a World Cup contest, have been selected as the U.S. Olympic Committee's male and female Athlete of the Month for January.
