| In October, members of the U.S. Ski Team and U.S. Snowboarding had the unique opportunity to visit the Willie Mays Boys & Girls Club during a short visit to San Francisco. The group, which included Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley, X Games gold medalist Steve Fisher (Breckenridge, CO), U.S. downhill and super G champion Stacey Cook (Mammoth, CA) and four-time Paralympian Monte Meier (Park City, UT), took time to answer the questions of the children at the Boys & Girls Club about what they do as winter athletes. |

| PARK CITY, Utah (Nov. 5) - One of the founding pioneers of the modern day U.S. Ski Team, William Bradford Briggs, died Nov. 1 at the age of 87 at his home in Vero Beach, FL. Briggs, was a driving force in the formation of the Team's fundraising arm, the U.S. Ski Team Educational Foundation, in the '70s and one of its staunchest supporters in the Team's heyday of the late '70s and early '80s.

| ISHPEMING, MI (Oct. 15) - The U.S. Ski Team's Liz McIntyre, Nelson Carmichael, and Cary Adgate, along with a man who set the precedent in American ski mountaineering, Bill Briggs, will be inducted to the 2008 U.S. National Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame of fame in April according to Hall of Fame President Tom West. |

| PARK CITY, UT (Sept. 25) - Finn Gundersen, who has nearly 40 years of educational experience from the club level to the national team, has been named director of sport education by the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association. Gundersen, who is presently director of alpine education, will continue developing programs to educate the USSA's coaches, clubs and parents, providing support for young athletes to achieve their goals. |
